Got myself a donkey long tong for the braai and it was honestly a great buy. The extra length makes a big difference when working over the fire, keeping you safely away from the heat while still giving full control.
Strong, sturdy and easy to handle, with a good grip on the meat and no slipping. Made the whole braai experience smoother and more enjoyable. If you spend time at the fire often, this is definitely worth having.

Tong itself is great, but the engraving was a let down. For such a big long tong to put the tiiiniest engraving on.... Why then do it all?

Warm water, dishwashing soap and a good scrub. Nothing works better than elbow grease. These are built like Donkeys. Durable, hardworking and reliable. In other words, quite low maintenance. Dry it properly afterwards and it’ll stay looking like new for years.
Unfortunately, our Donkeys are not dishwasher safe, mainly because they won’t fit.
