We stitch our paddles with Kevlar instead of cotton. Kevlar has a higher burning threshold which means it doesn’t fray over time. That means it gets to live by the fire for generations.

The Paddle is made from spring steel laminated in genuine leather and stitched with fire-resistant Kevlar. We don’t use cotton stitching because it would fray and burn. Kevlar has a high burn threshold, meaning it can handle serious heat. That said, like any tool, don’t leave it sitting in the flames.
Use it when your fire needs big gusts of air. If your coals are fading or you need to quickly build heat, a few strong flicks will feed oxygen into the fire and wake it up.
